Landscape Lighting

Landscape Lighting can provide that special finishing touch to your outdoor theme. Our clients often comment on how much of a difference a subtle, well-placed lighting system makes to the home.  Lighting brings a very different, appealing view to your outdoor living area.  When installed correctly, it enhances the existing beauty to the design of your home. This creates an intriguing night-time view.  Lighting will also help you feel more safe at home, as it can tastefully illuminate dark, secluded areas.

Landscape Lighting for Your Yard

In addition to providing security, a strategically placed, beautiful outdoor, low voltage lighting system can bring your yard to life in the evening and nighttime hours, showcasing your seating areas, boulders, pool areas, accent trees, paths, cactus or flower garden in ways you can only imagine in the daylight hours.  Seeing is believing!  You can also incorporate some beautiful, multi-colored, low voltage lighting into an outdoor waterfall, which will mesmerize all who are fortunate enough to behold it!
In addition to following a regular pattern of lighting up a walkway or steps, we recommend placing lights elsewhere, in a more selective, irregular manner so certain areas are artfully illuminated.  This will give the effect of “moon lighting” in a way that is just absolutely gorgeous.  We like more of an “indirect”, softer lighting effect, which makes for a more soothing experience while out on the patio or terrace.
With the newest LED (light emitting diode) bulbs available, most people are switching from the older halogen or traditional bulbs to the more cost-effective LED’s.  Although their initial cost is more, they last anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 hours, whereas the older traditional bulbs last only 2,000 to 5,000 hours total.  That, in combination to the energy savings of about 80%, makes them much more economically feasible than the older types of bulbs.  Another benefit is they require far less maintenance, and should last at least a good 10 years, depending on your use.
Landscape lighting fixtures come in various selective designs, colors, sizes, and price points, and we can create the perfect outdoor lighting package for your landscape.  The most important part of landscape lighting starts with the proper fundamentals such as using the correct type of low voltage landscape wire.  Using landscape wire that is too thin will not carry the necessary amount of current to the lights farthest out from the transformer.  A good, powerful transformer is also important to make sure there is enough wattage for the lighting system.

Choosing the Right Landscape Lighting

Choosing the right lighting fixtures is also important. They can be priced conservatively or can be more expensive depending on preferences.  We recommend using premium grade fixtures which are built to last and are constructed with superior workmanship that will stand the test of time.  Your Envirogreen Landscape professional can go over the best lighting options to suit your needs.
We also provide and install the more high-end decorative fixtures, which complement various custom styles of décor.  Contact us for your outdoor lighting project, and we will provide you with an estimate and design, unique to your situation.
